MediaMaster® MMA-1-HTML FW Update

*Note: JL Audio recommends a 16GB or smaller USB thumb drive formatted to FAT32 for this update.

Follow these steps to view which software version is currently loaded in your source unit:

1. With the source unit turned ON, launch the MediaMaster app on the MFD.
2. On the MFD, press and hold SETTINGS to access the System Settings: Main Menu.
3. Select MMA-1 Settings.
4. Select Diagnostic.
5. The software version currently in use will be displayed after SW ver:

Follow the steps below to download and install (or reinstall) the latest operating software:

1.  (ver: 1072)
   
   
2. Extract the compressed files, and review the included PDF license agreement (MM_OS_EULA_04092019.pdf).
    
3. Save the SWU file (nmea_eth_gateway_fw_xxxx.swu) to a USB thumb drive. 
   (Thumb drive should be empty and formatted to FAT32.)
   Note, this file should be saved to the root directory (top level) of the thumb drive (not placed in a folder).
   
   
4. Connect the USB thumb drive to USB port on the MMA-1-HTML.
   
   
5. With the source unit turned ON, launch the MediaMaster app on the MFD.
   
   
6. On the MFD, press and hold SETTINGS to access the System Settings: Main Menu.
   
   
7. Select MMA-1 Settings.
   
   
8. Select Diagnostic.
   
   
9. Select “Enter SW update mode”.
   
   
10. Read the prompt on the MFD, then select the checkmark to proceed with the update. The total update time may take up to 2 minutes. When the update is complete, MMA-1 will relaunch on the MFD and resume normal operations.
    
    
11. Remove the USB thumb drive from MMA-1 USB port.
